What a brilliant first Stockton Heath Repair Cafe at St Thomas’ Church Hall
A huge thank you to everyone who gave their time today – from our repairers, cafe team, cake bakers, runners and welcomers. It really was a proper community effort and the support was fantastic to see.
We completed 48 repairs throughout the day, with only a few sadly beyond repair. Quite a few visitors also went away with advice and guidance on parts needed, ready to return next month.
From a vintage food mixer and dehumidifier to clocks, digital radios, lamps, hedge trimmers, bikes, zips, leather belts and even glasses arms that four opticians couldn’t fix… there was a real mix of repairs taking place throughout the day
It was also lovely to see people popping in simply to find out what the Repair Cafe is all about, enjoy the atmosphere and stop for cake and coffee
Thank you as well for your donations. Everything raised goes back into helping cover the set up and running costs of the Repair Cafe.
Our next Stockton Heath Repair Cafe will take place on 20 June
